Sinfinis: News

Welcome to Mike Frank! - October 28, 2008

I extend a very warm welcome to über-talented multi-instrumentalist Mike Frank, who has officially signed on to join Sinfinis!

Mike has played some acoustic songs with me (for iChannel's iCoustix and for RiverfrontRadio.com's The Aftermath show), and I've hinted at the prospect of him coming on board, but now, it's truly official. Give him a shout at Mike@sinfinis.com!

Mike moved to St. Louis , Missouri from Connecticut early this year. Prior to that, he spent several years playing drums for metal band Risk of Injury. He also owned and operated recording studio Terminal Sound in Waterbury , CT.

Rather than wait around forEVER to find the right people for a full-band lineup, Mike and I are going to push forward as a duo for now. We are currently writing new material as well as reworking some of the songs from the debut EP, The Edge of a Knife. We plan to start recording soon, and hope to have an acoustic live set ready within the next couple of months.

We are still looking for additional band members for a deliciously edgy, hard-hitting, electro-rocking lineup, so PLEASE spread the word and tell any interested parties to send an e-mail or message us through MySpace!

Video Contest (PLEASE HELP ME WIN!) - May 1, 2008

If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times: I love iChannel. My affection for the station (along with the fact that the prize is $5,000!) has prompted me to create a video for their Independent Video Contest. The winner is decided by vote, so PLEASE HELP ME WIN THIS THING!

Visit http://www.ichannel.fm/?nid=157 to view all the entries and VOTE. Mine is the "Band Montage" entry (about two-thirds of the way down the page). Each video lasts only 30 seconds or less, so please take a few minutes to check them out!

Vote for my video and I'll love you until the end of time.
(Please vote honestly - watch the others and vote for mine after you decide that it OWNS!)

You can vote once every day between now and May 15!!!

THANK YOU for your support!

Sinfinis LIVE! - March 17, 2008

People keep asking me when the next Sinfinis show is. Venues are asking me to book. The interest is MUCH appreciated! It’s a happy dilemma to have to tell everyone that Sinfinis does not yet play out...but a dilemma nonetheless.

I’m FINALLY pushing forward and letting the beast out of its cage. It’s time for a KILLER live act!

If YOU are a talented, reliable musician [in the STL, MO area] who is interested in playing this music (in addition to working on new material), please contact me right away. Tell me about yourself, your experience, and what you can bring to the table. Be sure to let me know where I can hear samples of your work.

Message me through MySpace or send an e-mail message to LIVE@sinfinis.com. I look forward to hearing from you!

Thank you,
Mary Elizabeth Bell

Help Sinfinis Help Firefighters - February 18, 2008

Buy SinfinisThe Edge of a Knife between February 18 and February 25, 2008, and 100% of the proceeds will go to the Fallen FireFighter Album project. The CD, to be released later in 2008, will benefit the Fallen Firefighter Foundation; proceeds will be given to fire departments and families suffering the loss of a firefighter who has died in the line of duty.

STLSound Magazine and St.Louis Channel 5 (KSDK) will feature the project in the upcoming months. Artists contributing their time and talent to the album include:
Seth Brand
Brandon Scherffius of Losing Altitude
Bill Forness of C-Box Prophets
Christopher Davis and Michael Viner of Ockums Razor
Heather Cowles
Tae-D
Rook

As you can see, the project has generated some interest, but unfortunately, they have recently lost some vital financial support. Please contact me if you’re willing to partner with me for this worthy cause. Hit me up this week and I’ll sell you my disc for $5 (+ $2 shipping), which I will donate to the Fallen FireFighter Album.

Hope to hear from you today!
